Amy Yacucci, M.S., CCC-SLP

Clinical Educator

Amy graduated from Illinois State University with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2003.  She has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for over 16 years. Amy began her career at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Champaign, IL where she provided comprehensive assessment and treatment of infants in the NICU for feeding difficulty as well as with adults in the rehabilitative center.  She shifted fields within speech pathology and became a school-based SLP for the Unit 5 School District in Normal, IL in 2004.  Amy began working for the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department at ISU in 2014.  Amy worked primarily with the elementary age population in the self-contained special education classrooms.  Her primary interests within speech-language pathology include augmentative and alternative communication, child language, autism, and behavior management.  Her interest areas among higher education include clinical education/supervision and interprofessional practice.
