Children

We cater our speech therapy services to help children's developmental skills and social development. Speech therapy exercises and activities vary depending on your child’s disorder, age, and needs. During speech therapy for children, our pathologists may:

  • interact through talking and playing, and using books, pictures other objects as part of language intervention to help stimulate language development

  • model correct sounds and syllables for a child during age-appropriate play to teach the child how to make certain sounds

  • provide strategies and homework for the child and parent or caregiver on how to do speech therapy at home, as well as educational toys and games designed to help with development.

Speech Therapy for Children

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association states that approximately 5% of children have an identifiable speech disorder by the time they enter first grade. We are proud to provide therapy services for these students so they can find a way to create speech sounds effectively for communication!
